Catalyst Awardees

At the core of the organization’s mission as an incubator, it supports the diverse talent of emerging artists from the Caribbean, African and Latin Diasporas. DVCAI’s Board of Directors and Curator selected the winners who will each receive $5,000 through an artist-support campaign on Give Miami Day, a city-wide, annual philanthropic platform by the Miami Foundation

Our awardees also partake in our Artist in Residence program, which is a nonprofit, interdisciplinary artists’ community and arts education facility dedicated to promoting artistic excellence by providing talented artists an opportunity to work and collaborate with some of the world’s most distinguished contemporary artists in the fields of visual, literary, and performing arts. Artists have studio space to think, create and meander through the neighborhoods of Miami and suriname. Artists are paired with a local artists and they are required to have open studios and one community engagement.
